Stewart Hockey was first established in 2014 by Anthony Stewart. After retiring from a 10 year professional hockey career he decided to give back to the hockey community that went above and beyond to help him and his brother Chris reach the NHL. Stewart Hockey's mission is to create an environment where players of all ages and socio economic backgrounds can advance their hockey skills . OUR Coaches
Steve McGeachy
Our Head Strength and Condition Coach Steve brings 13 years experience in the fitness service. Certified C.P.P.S, C.P.T.N., N.S.P.A. He has worked one-on-one with professional athletes from the NHL, NBA, NCAA, MLS and OHL. He also currently works as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Junior A Pickering Panthers.
Kain Allicock
Coach Kain is a GTHL Alumni Drafted to the OHL in 2006 to the Saginaw Spirit. He went on to play for the University of Waterloo where he completed his Bachelors Degree with Honours in Recreation and Sports Business. He Retired from a playing career 2015 after playing with the Calgary Flames organization affiliate in Kansas City (ECHL). He is now beginning his 4th year coaching in the GTHL at the AAA level and looks forward to guiding all the Stewart Hockey athletes with his personal and professional experience.
Jay Katsoras
Coach Jay has 13 years experience coaching in the GTHL and OMHA. He currently works with the Toronto Young Nationals on the coaching staff for the 2008 AAA team. More about Coach Jay coming soon...
Steve Tarasuk
Steve played minor hockey in the GTHL with the Toronto Marlboros for 7 years and was drafted to the OHL 3rd round (52nd overall) by the Ottawa 67's. He then went on to play for the Kitchener Rangers and London Knights.
Steve signed with Bridgeport Tigers (AHL) & attended New York Islanders NHL camp. Playing in the ECHL he was selected for the all star team and won the championship with Allen Americans.
After playing & teaching overseas in Germany and Poland, Steve has since retired from professional hockey and found his home at King Heights as the Coach of the U-18 Prep team as well as assisting with the on-ice skill development throughout the year.
